Gingerbread House

Admittedly this memory is a little strange but oh so much fun! Most Christmases when we were younger my brother and I would make a gingerbread house, for most people this would be the memory. Don’t get me wrong I always loved making the gingerbread house but the best part was always on Christmas eve when my brother and I were allowed to destroy our gingerbread house with a hammer! After dinner, we would clean off the kitchen counter or table and put down newspaper to make clean up slightly easier and absolutely decimate our poor stale gingerbread houses that have been sitting on the counter for several weeks!

Ingredients

1oz Marzipan Tea Infused Vodka ( I used Granville Island tea company’s marzipan tea and sheringham’s vodka and let it steep for 5 minutes)

1/2oz Nocino from Ampersand

2 Drops Chai’Walla Bitters from Dashfire

Bit of Honey (based on preference)

2oz Milk

Method

Steep the vodka and tea until the desired strength is reached I used one teaspoon of tea for 1 cup vodka and let steep for 5 minutes. While your vodka infuses dissolve the honey in the nocino and bitters, add all ingredients to a low ball glass over a large ice cube and stir. Garnish with a gingerbread cookie or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
