Mauled Toddy

Ingredients

1 1/2oz Maple Canadian Whisky from Odd Society

3oz Fresh Apple Juice

Orange peel, 1-2 cloves, 1/4 teaspoon allspice, 1/4 teaspoon ginger, one cinnamon stick

2 Drops Cardamom Bitters from Fee Brothers

1oz Lemon or Orange Juice

Method

In a small pot bring everything except the whisky to a simmer and stir continuously until all flavours are well developed and hot, it will take about 10 minutes. Pour the whisky into your favorite mug or cocktail glass, if using glass be sure not to pour your hot apple juice into a cold glass because this can cause your glass to break. Strain your apple juice mixture into the glass on top of your whisky and garnish with orange peel studded with cloves or a cinnamon stick.
