Ingredients

About 1- 1 1/2cups Stinging Nettle

1 Cup White Sugar

2 Cups Water

Method

Remove the nettle leaves from the stocks using gloves and throw them into a bowl to soak in warm water for 5-10 minutes. This will help neutralize the stinging properties as well as clean the leaves of any dirt. Drain the nettle leaves and place them in a pot along with the water and sugar. At this point, you can add some form of citrus or anything else you would like. Bring the sugar nettle solution to a boil and stir until all the sugar is dissolved. Once the sugar is dissolved take the pot off the heat and leave to steep for at least an hour. After the solution has steeped pass it through a sieve or coffee filter to remove any nettle leaves. Pour into a clean glass jar and store in the fridge.
